WHAT IS ADVATX?

ADVATx uses high powered, 589nm wavelength yellow light, which is widely acknowledged as the gold standard in treating various vascular conditions, and 1319nm wavelength to stimulate collagen production and to improve skin texture and overall dermal health. What to expect from an ADVATx treatment?

DOES THE TREATMENT HURT? There is little to no discomfort

HOW MUCH DOWN TIME? You will experience mild redness and perhaps a little swelling for 2-4 hours.

WHAT DO I DO AFTER TREATMENT? A minimum of 24 hours is recommended before direct sun exposure. It is imperative that you apply a sunscreen SPF 30 or higher daily.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS? With most vascular treatments you will see a change within the first 24 hours, but multiple treatments are required for optimal results. Acne and scar treatments require multiple treatments for optimal results.

AdvaTx Pre/Post Care Treatment Instructions

Pre:

  1. Avoid medications that make you photo sensitive.
  2. Ensure area is shaved before treatment.
  3. Avoid alcohol for 24-48 hours before treatment
  4. NO RETINOL/ ACTIVES FOR 3-5 daysBEFORE & 72 hours after
  5. DISCONTINUE ACCUTANE 6 MONTHS, DOXYCLINE AND MINOCYCLINE SHOULD BE DISCONTINUED 3 MONTHS PRIOR TO TREATMENT
  6. Avoid direct sunlight or tanning 2 weeks before treatment.
  7. Inform provider if you have a history of cold sores.

Post:

Adva Laser Post Treatment Instructions

  1. Do not perspire for 24 hours of treatment.
  2. Do not use AHA’s, BHA’s, Retin-A, or Renova for 72 hours after treatment.
  3. Avoid direct sunlight for 72 hours after treatment. If outdoor activities are planned, wear a wide brimmed hat and 60 SPF.
  4. Wash your face morning and night with a cleanser.
  5. Continue use of vitamins, treatment products, hydrator, and sunscreen unless otherwise directed by your doctor or skincare professional.
  6. If redness or sensitivity occurs, wash your face and apply a cool compress or ice pack. If sensitivity continues for more than 12 hours, contact your physician or skincare provider.
  7. SPF 50 air higher should be worn everyday
  8. If you are prone to oral herpes, the treatment you have just received may cause a breakout, ask your doctor for a prophylactic treatment such as Valtrex. (5 days before your treatment and 5 days after are optimal.)
  9. Do not peel or pick at loose skin or crusting, this will cause severe scarring and discoloration to affected area.
  10. If crusting occurs, apply petroleum jelly to affected area until healed.
  11. Keep skin well hydrated with appropriate moisturizer.
